The year 2016 marks the 100th anniversary of Ruby Short McKim’s first published quilt pattern, Quaddy
Quiltie, in 1916 by The Kansas City Star. McKim Studios hosted an online quilt contest, and the finalists were featured in
"Ruby's 2016 Celebration Wall Calendar". The Calendar was an
exciting addition to our 2016 National Celebration, “Ruby Short McKim
··· A Century of Designs Worth Doing”, which lights up Ruby's contribution to quilt history.
We sold out of the calendars, and many people were sorry hear they missed
out…so we took ALL of the wonderful information from the calendar and
created a beautiful daybook.
Included in the Celebration Daybook is the timeline that highlights Ruby's career and
personal life (with lots of graphics), a list of Ruby's Series Quilts
and Monograms, and of course, all of the beautiful quilts and stories from our finalists.
Ruby's
Daybook has 52 beautiful pages, is sturdy and spiral bound, and
measures 5.5" x 8.5"…the perfect size to stash in your bag when you're
on the go. It's great for taking notes at club, class, lectures, etc.
with lots of undated space to use as needed.
Much Appreciation for Our Finalists!
